Woofie’s was conceived by neighbors Amy Reed and Leslie Barron in Ashburn, VA. They left their corporate jobs to pursue a passion for pet care, filling a void that they identified in their own personal lives as dog owners.

Amy & Leslie walked one dog together for $10.

Their pet sitting and dog walking services soon included pet transportation, ovemight care and 24-hour pet care.

Tails were wagging, and clients barked-rather- SANG-their praises. Amy & Leslie were both walking dogs 7 days a week! It was time to build a team of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to help them meet the growing demand.

2010

Woofie’s wins the first of many regional and local awards for excellence in pet services.

2011

Having built a base of thousands of pet sitting and dog walking clients, Amy & Leslie were constantly asked about dog grooming services. So why not?!! With a boot-strap investment, they purchased their first mobile pet spa van and hired their first groomer.

2012

Their growing popularity had clients begging for more! Amy and Leslie hired a back office team to manage the requests rolling in.

2015

Top Dogs – Woofie’s was recognized as one of the Top 100 Small Businesses in the US by the US Chamber of Commerce.

2017

Ready for prime time! Woofie’s was featured on CNBC’s The Job Interview.

In an effort to replicate their business model in other markets, Amy & Leslie formed their franchising company, Woofie’s Pet Ventures, LLC.

Woofie’s opens its first three franchise locations in Northern Virginia: Reston-Herndon, Leesburg, and South Riding-Aldie.
